  1. Yes, I have lists like this, too. This is our third year without our daughter. There will be a stocking full of flowers, and a sky lantern, and an ornament swap with another grieving mom. There will be many moments of longing. The mere fact of the holiday being all about a sacred birth really causes me a lot of pain some days. And yet I love this time of year.

    1. Those sound like lovely traditions. All these things we do as bereaved parents are important I think, to honour their lives and their place in our lives. It's hard, but good at the same time. I added one I had forgotten - decorating the tree we have for him. Both dreading and looking forward to seeing how it's grown in the past year.
